What Will I Learn and Receive With the 6 Weeks No Wheat Program
The 6 Weeks No Wheat program is an online program, which takes a step-by-step, week-by-week approach. Each week we will educate you around food, in particular, wheat and gluten and how to effectively eliminate it out of your diet. You will receive education, videos, meal plans, recipes, extra resources and access to an online forum. You also have the opportunity to leave comments and ask questions along the way. You gain access one week at a time, following a step by step formula for best results, building on your knowledge from previous weeks.
Prep week – Time to prepare, preparation is key!
Preparing for anything is the key to success and preparing for the next 6 weeks is no exception! You will start with a health self-evaluation and goal setting via our health tracker page and record how you are feeling prior to starting. We teach you how to effectively read food labels by understanding why gluten free food products aren’t the answer. You will also learn what foods contain gluten and wheat that aren’t always obvious at first glance.
Week One – Let’s talk about bread and bread alternatives
Learn what goes into modern day breads as opposed to more traditional breads, even gluten free breads are not what they seem and can have a lot of added chemicals. We have some fabulous healthy gluten-free bread recipes, which are so easy to make. So you don’t need to give up bread altogether, you can just switch to a healthier alternative! Plus you will receive a weekly meal plan.
Week Two – There’s a world of wheat free breakfast out there
There is a huge range of choice for breakfast beyond the popular breakfast cereals, toasts and wheat based breakfast foods. You will learn the best way to start your day and discover a whole new world of real food breakfast choices. You will be educated around what goes into your breakfast cereals, including the clever marketing and false health claims that are out there. Plus you will receive a weekly meal plan.
Week Three – Eating gluten free for lunch and dinner
Just like breakfast, most of our lunch and dinner options are wheat based. Learn inspirational ideas for your main meals, as well as a ‘swap this for that’ list of popular meal choices. It’s all about thinking outside the box, and creating healthy meals full of flavour and nutrition. You will also learn about eating and packing healthy lunchboxes for both the kids and for the adults to take to work. Plus you will receive a weekly meal plan.
Week Four – Baking and snacking the gluten free way
Just because you are eliminating wheat, doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on delicious snacks and treats. Most of our snacks today are full of wheat, so it’s a matter of changing what we snack on and learning to bake a different way. We will supply you with great suggestions and a ‘swap this for that’ list as well as some alternatives for flour. Plus you will receive a weekly meal plan.
Week Five – Going out and travelling gluten free
Learn how to travel and eat out gluten free. We will educate you around eating out in restaurants, including what to look for and ask for. Learn what food to pack to an event or whilst travelling. Plus you will receive a weekly meal plan.
Week Six – Where to from here – beyond the program
Creating change should be a lifestyle, not just for a short period of time. Depending on the results you have gained depends on your next steps. We will take you through steps to maintain a healthy lifestyle and can help you with further suggestions to improve your health. You will re-evaluate your health and set some new goals and milestones. Plus you will receive a weekly meal plan.
Health Tracker – Record and track your results as you move through the program
Our health tracker page, enables your to record your results, how you are feeling, setting achievable milestones and goals. You can take a self health pre-assessment and post-assessment to help you monitor your success and realise how far you have come.
Recipes/Meal Plans – Simple easy delicious meals and weekly meal plans
Each week you will be given a weekly meal plan to make your planning easier. We have a library of tasty delicious recipes that are also family friendly and something for everyone.

Cyndi O’Meara, Creator of 6 Weeks No Wheat Challenge
Cyndi O’Meara is a nutritionist, best selling author, international speaker and founder of Changing Habits. Cyndi has been a nutritionist for over 30 years, has lived a healthy lifestyle her entire life, in fact she has never taken any medication, not even paracetomol. Cyndi went on an elimination diet a few years ago after gaining some excess weight, and suffering aches and pains, which she thought was just part of getting older. After eliminating foods out of her diet, she noticed when she re-introduced wheat, her aches and pains came back. She started to question why, as she was brought up on a healthy diet, had eaten healthy foods all her life, and the bread she ate was always from organic sources.
This led her to investigate what has happened and why after eating wheat for thousands of years, it has been now linked to so many health problems. That lead Cyndi to creating the “What’s With Wheat” documentary, where she travelled the world interviewing 14 experts on wheat and health. Cyndi realises, that it is not easy for people to just cut wheat out of their diet; it is a major food group and it is everywhere, particularly in western society. It is also quite confusing on what to buy as we see a large influx of gluten free food products and people assume that they are good for them. Cyndi graduated with a BSc majoring in Nutrition from Deakin University in 1984, her special interest was ancestral foods.
At the end of her degree she was so disillusioned by the nutritional guidelines that she paved her own path and stayed clear of the low fat diets of the day, and not without controversy. Her ground breaking book Changing Habits Changing Lives (1998) became an instant best seller and from there she has grown a successful organic food company, certified online education program and ground breaking documentary.
Cyndi is about educating, her greatest love is to teach people, in order for them to make better choices in their life, so they too can enjoy greater health throughout their life. Her unique, surprisingly simple and down-to-earth approach challenges and encourages others to eliminate unhealthy habits and has inspired thousands to make smarter choices about the food they choose to put into their body.
