A really simply apple cinnamon pie that the whole family will enjoy.

Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease and line a pie dish.
Sift the besan flour into a bowl.
Add the remaining flour ingredients and use your hands to combine the mixture together and form a dough.
Place a piece of baking paper onto the bench and dust it with extra besan flour.
Now place the dough on top and dust it with extra besan flour to stop the rolling pin from sticking to it.
Roll the pastry out with a rolling pin and keep dusting the dough with extra flour if required to stop it sticking to the rolling pin and baking paper. Roll it out to your desired thickness.
Measure out enough pastry for the base of the pie and place it into the pie dish.
Use a fork to prick a few holes in the base of the pie and place it in the oven to bake for 10-15 minutes, or until a pale golden colour.
Now add all the filling ingredients together into a saucepan, and stir to combine. Heat on a low-medium heat until cooked and the liquid has thickened nicely.
Remove the pie base from the oven when it's ready.
Once the filling is cooked and the sauce is beautiful and thick, pour it into the pie dish.
Then with the remaining pastry create a pie lid and place it on top of the pie/ filling. Use your fingers to press the pie lid to the base.
Place it back in the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
When it's ready, remove it from the oven.
Serve with homemade custard, ice-cream or whipped coconut cream or dairy cream.
Enjoy.
