We often recommend nutrient-dense foods like organ meat to be included in the types of meats you feed your baby during the weaning process. As your baby begins to consume less breast milk, he or she requires nutrients like protein, zinc, iron and B-vitamins. Meat and organ meats particularly is one food group that has these nutrients in ample amounts.

Add all the ingredients (except dehydrated broth and water) to a medium sized frying pan and fry the livers until cooked.
Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender, thermomix or food processor and blitz until really well combined. It should be completely lump free, if it's not blending to a smooth enough consistency just keep adding a touch more melted coconut oil or water until you reach your desired consistency.
Store in a glass jar.
For babies you can mix this into other pureed veggies such as carrot, sweet potato or cauliflower. It is also a great addition to mini meatballs and soups.

Hi guys
Did you by any chance have a full thermomix recipe for this? I’ve not cooked the livers in the thermie before, and would love to.
I’d love your tips.
Cheers
Rebecca
Hi Rebecca, so sorry we don’t at this stage. However all you have to do it heat the chicken livers/ ingredients at roughly 100C at speed 2 until cooked, then blend until completely smooth and creamy on Speed 9-10. Taste the mix, adjust the flavours and re-blend if needed. I hope that helps.
How long does this keep in the fridge for? Thanks!
Hi Heather, roughly 5 days. I would recommend when you make a batch to divvy up the pate into small containers and freeze them, so then you always have some on hand when needed and none of it will go off or to waste if you don’t feel as though you can eat it all in less than 5 days.
I cannot find organic chicken livers anywhere? Where do we source from? I’m in Riverina nsw
Hi Amanda, I would recommend you call a couple of your local butchers in your area to see if they can source it for you 🙂 If you can’t get organic, grass-fed is perfectly fine too.
When you say a great addition to meatballs, do you mean in the balls or as a sauce?
