Coconut Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon Marshmallows

Looking for a healthy alternative to those processed pre-made powder hot chocolate mixes? Then you will love this, it's such a treat! Its completely made from wholefoods and is absolutely delicious!

 1 can organic coconut milk or cream (400ml), preservative free
 200 ml hot filtered water
 1 tbsp coconut oil
 shredded coconut to sprinkle on top
 preferred sweetener to taste, liquid stevia, pure maple syrup, honey or Changing Habits Rapadura Sugar
Thermomix Instructions

Add coconut milk/ cream, water, cacao powder, coconut oil and salt to the thermomix bowl. Heat at 70-80C for 3-4 minutes on speed 3.

Add cinnamon and sweetener to taste and blitz on Speed 9 for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Pour into 2 large mugs and top with our coconut and cinnamon marshmallows and extra cinnamon and shredded coconut.

Normal Method

Add coconut milk/ cream, water, cacao powder, coconut oil and salt to a small saucepan on low- medium heat, stir to combine and allow to heat up until just simmering.

Add cinnamon and sweetener to taste and the mix to a quality blender and blitz for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until frothy and well combined.

Pour into 2 large mugs and top with our coconut cinnamon marshmallows and extra cinnamon and shredded coconut.

      In the recipe it says 150 ml – 200 ml of hot water 🙂

    Hello .. do you consider this a small meal as I imagine with 200 mls of coconut cream + tbsp of coconut oil whilst these are healthy fats it’s a quite high caloric wise? Sounds delicious though.

      Yes, this would be quite a filling drink, however, we’re not recommending you consume it daily, more as a treat:)
