Grain Free Sushi

Yields1 Serving

For those of you who are following a Hunter Gatherer diet, healing your leaky gut, following the GAPS diet or simply intolerant to grains, getting creative in the kitchen can be a little bit tricky.
Here is a nutritious and delicious Grain Free sushi recipe to get your creative juices flowing in the kitchen.

 Nori Sheets
 Lemon Inca Inchi Oil Mayonnaise
Fresh Salad of your choice (ie; Avocado, spinach, rocket, red onion, shallots, raddish, carrot, beetroot, bean sprouts, cucumber ect...)
Chopped Organic meat (chicken, turkey, tuna, salmon ect...) or boiled eggs, sliced
Tamari for dipping (instead of Soy Sauce)
You can be as creative with the ingredients as you like.
1

Take one Nori sheet (shiny side down) and spread the Lemon Inca Inchi Oil Mayonnaise over 3/4 of the sheet (leaving a 2cm strip bare). (The mayonnaise needs to be spread over the Nori sheet as this helps the salad ingredients to stick and not fall out once rolled up)

2

Add the salad and meat or eggs on top of the mayonnaise (do not overfill as you will have trouble rolling)

3

Roll the salad, meat or eggs into itself and stick on the bare 2cm nori strip using a bit of water to the roll.

4

Repeat the process again and chop in half or leave whole (it's best not to chop this up too much as the salad will fall out easily)

5

Serve with Tamari.

6

Alternatively: Grate 1/2 a cucumber and add 2-3 tablespoons of Changing Habits Chia Seeds and mix together, set this aside until it thickens.

7

Add more chia seeds if the mixture is not thick enough.

8

Add herbs, spices, lemon juice or simply mix with the lemon inca inchi oil mayonnaise for a beautiful nutritious spreadable 'sticky' base.

9

Once the mixture is quite thick, spread this over the Nori Sheet to use as your 'Sticking' base, then add your salad and meat on top.
