Low Carb Green Smoothie

We share our favourite low carb green smoothy recipe. It's packed with sneaky veggies, gut loving probiotics and good quality fats and proteins to give you longer lasting energy.

 1 Cucumber
 1 Zucchini
 1-2 Handfuls spinach
 Juice of 1 lemon
 2 cups Coconut water kefir OR filtered water
 1 Knob of ginger
 1 Avocado
 2 tbsp Vanilla essence
 4 tbsp Collagen or 2 tbsp Changing Habits Inca Inchi Powder
 Sweetener to taste, we use liquid stevia drops (may use honey or maple syrup)
 1 cup Ice

Place all ingredients into your blender and blend on high until completely smooth and creamy.

    I’ve added the collagen powder but it gives a really strange consistency. Any tips on adding collagen to smoothies? Should I make it into a gel first?

      Hi Tracey. Thanks for getting in touch. You could try adding it to a bit of the liquid (so in this case the coconut water kefir or filtered water) and allowing it to sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken before blitzing in the blender. Hope this helps 🙂
