Condiments such as homemade pesto, mayonnaise and tomato sauce (ketchup) are always so handy to have on hand to liven up any meal. Why not try pasting some of this tomato sauce onto slow cooked meats such as pork to create a flavourful pulled pork, add to soups or stews to achieve a rich depth of flavour!
Mix all ingredients together into a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer while stirring frequently until the flavours have blended. (Add more water for thinner ketchup if it has thickened too much or add less water for thicker consistency). Taste the mix and adjust if needed (ie add in more spices, salt, vinegar or pepper to your own taste).
When you have the consistency you like, remove from the heat and allow to cool before transferring to a glass jar.
Store in the fridge.
