A delicious and warming dessert perfect for winter.

Preheat oven to 190°C. Slice the top of the apple of evenly (it should resemble a lid), then using an apple corer, core the apples to make a 3-4cm opening at the top. Place the apples in a small baking dish, with the open cavity facing upwards.
Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl, be sure to coat everything in the oil or butter (it doesn't matter if its a bit lumpy, it will give the filling more texture and crunch when cooked).
Using a spoon place the dry mixture into the cavity of the apples. You can also rub the outside of the apple with a little extra coconut oil or butter to stop it from drying out.
Bake for roughly 20 minutes with a lid over the baking dish or some alfoil on top.
Remove the lid or alfoil and return to the oven and continue to bake for another 15 minutes or so. The filling should be golden brown and crunchy and the apples soft.
When ready, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Place the apples into serving bowls and serve with warm custard, yoghurt or whipped cream. Sprinkle a little extra cinnamon and some extra nuts or seeds of your choice.

I think the measurements on this recipe are off! 24T of rapadura and butter?
Hi Lauren. Thanks for getting in touch. We moved to a new recipe system recently and it corrupted some of our measurements. This has been fixed up now. Thanks again 🙂
