Goat Curry

Yields1 Serving

This is divine on a cool day - very warming and nourishing

1kg goat meat (we used goat shoulder that still contains the bones for more nutrients)
1 1/2 cups homemade broth of your choice (to add later): feel free to add extra broth if you don't mind it being more liquid, and want to give your audience extra nourishment
 2 brown onions chopped
 3 gloves garlic chopped/crushed
 1 bay leaf
 1 tbsp coconut oil
 4 whole cloves
 2 cardoman pods
 1 tbsp ground coriander seeds
1 tsp Changing Habits Cumin Powder
 3 tsp Changing Habits Turmeric
Changing Habits Seaweed Salt to taste
Fresh or Changing Habits Chilli Powder to taste (about 1-2 tsp)
 1 tsp paprika
30g diced tomatoes (from organic can of tomatoes if required)
1 tsp Changing Habits Garam Masala
1

Grind cloves and cardomon in a good blender until fine powder.

2

Add all ingredients except for tomatoes and garam masala to your slow cooker and set to high and cook for 4 hours, and stir every hour. If using a large pot, put it onto a low to medium heat and cook for 4 hours as well.

3

After the 4 hours, add tomatoes and garam masala and continue cooking for another hour or until the meat is cooked through and tender.

4

Suggested Serving: with some cauliflower rice if you are staying away from grains, or some soaked, washed white or brown rice
