Kale Chips

Yields1 Serving

Who would have thought greens could be so tasty. I mean, I love my greens, though when they are like this I have to tell myself to stop!

 2 bunches of kale
Approximately 3 tablespoons of Changing Habits Coconut Oil (or enough to smother the leaves in it!)
1/2 - 1 tsp Changing Habits Seaweed Salt
2 tspn of organic dried turmeric (powdered)
 Cracked pepper
Any other flavour you desire, like Changing Habits Dulse, cayenne pepper, ground coriander seeds, garlic and the list goes on!

Preheat your oven to 120 C. Lay down some baking paper on an oven tray.

Slice the leaves off the stalks of the kale carefully, and slice or tear the leaves into chip sized pieces.

If the coconut oil is liquid, poor your coconut oil all over the chips, using your fingers to make sure they are completely covered. If the coconut oil is hard, sit the jar in some boiling water until it becomes liquid.

Gather your salt, pepper and desired spices and sprinkle over the leaves, again using your hands to ensure there is not a spot without flavour.

It is best to cook these on a lower heat rather than a higher to heat to preserve the nutrients. Cook for 30 mins to 2 hours until crunchy.
