Choc Orange, Turmeric and Cinnamon Bliss Balls

These are the perfect snack! The chocolate and orange flavours with the hint of turmeric compliment each other well.

 1 1/2 cups roasted almonds
 Juice and Zest of 1 organic orange
 1/2 cups shredded organic coconut
 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
 Optional Add Ins: Fresh ginger grated or powder, chopped organic apricots

Place almonds into a food processor or thermomix and pulse until broken down to a rough meal consistency.

Add the dates and cacao melts and pulse until the dates and cacao melts are broken down.

Add all other ingredients and pulse again until all ingredients are combined evenly.

Test the mixture by taking a small spoonful of the mixture and rolling it into a ball. If the mixture is too wet add more coconut and/ or more almonds. If the mixture isn’t sticking together well enough add a tsp of water at a time until it reaches the right consistency.

Begin rolling all of the mixture into bite sized balls and place into a bowl or a plate. You can also roll the balls in coconut, crushed almonds and cacao powder.

Store in an air-tight container the fridge.

Note: These bliss balls freeze really well.
