The Healthy Keto Way is split into 3 Stages (see below). As well as the comprehensive HKW book, we have dedicated coaches, a private Facebook group, online program, recipes and menu plans to help guide you on the HKW.

On the program, you eat fewer carbohydrates and more (healthy) fats and proteins to put your body into ketosis, where it burns fat for energy. OVERVIEW OF THE 3 STAGES

STAGE 1

Stage 1 on the HKW is where you enter your ‘winter’ – ketosis. Caloric restriction is the main way to get into ketosis along with less carbohydrates. It will surprise you that when you pick the right foods, your plate will be filled and you will find satiety – this is your body getting back to what it is designed to do, fueling itself with real foods. We recommend to stay in Stage 1 for at least six weeks.

STAGE 2

Stage 2 is where you begin to reintroduce foods into your diet, considering how they make you feel. This is an education for you and your body as to what foods make you feel the best version of who you are. We’re here every step of the way to help guide you listen to your body to help determine if a food works for you.

STAGE 3

Stage 3 is where you learn to maintain your newfound healthy eating habits and build your own food plan for life. By now you should have a good idea of which foods work for you. We will explain evolutionary cyclical ketosis (where we had more carbohydrates in the summer so there was no need to use stored fat as a fuel source, and less in the winter) and how you can use this to maintain your peak performance for life.

What is the difference between the previous Hunter Gatherer Protocol & The Healthy Keto Way?

The Healthy Keto Way is based on a similar philosophy to the Hunter Gatherer Protocol.

However, the Healthy Keto Way is broken down into stages so it is easy to follow and it also has a clear listing of allowed foods.

I have done the Fat Loss Protocol. Is this a good program to do after?

Yes, the HKW is a great way to maintain your optimum weight, or even lose some more. As you’ll probably have experienced, the FLP is designed for rapid weight loss. Significant weight loss is certainly possible with the HKW, but it will occur over a longer period of time.

What's the difference between the Fat Loss Protocol and the Healthy Keto Way?
Both programs result in weight loss, increased energy and help you develop a sustainable, healthy eating philosophy for life.
 
You can lose a significant amount of weight on Healthy Keto Way, but the results will be slower than with the Fat Loss Protocol. Fat Loss Protocol offers rapid weight loss but it’s much more restrictive, whereas Healthy Keto Way is easier to fit around everyday life.
 
Some people do the Fat Loss Protocol first to lose the weight, then use Healthy Keto Way as a maintenance program. But it is totally up to you.
Should I do the Fat Loss Protocol first, then the Healthy Keto Way?

It all comes down to how you want to approach your weight loss. Fat Loss Protocol offers rapid weight loss but it’s much more restrictive.

Healthy Keto Way is easier to fit around everyday life but weight loss will be slower. Some people do the Fat Loss Protocol first to lose the weight, then use Healthy Keto Way as a maintenance program. But it is totally up to you.

How much weight will I lost on Healthy Keto Way?

Unlike our Fat Loss Protocol, which is designed for rapid weight loss, significant weight loss is certainly possible with the HKW, but it will occur over a longer period of time.

It also depends on how much weight you have to lose.

Can I do this if I am pregnant, wanting to fall pregnant or breastfeeding?
The Healthy Keto Way is absolutely fine for those who are breastfeeding. However, if you are breastfeeding and you want to lose the very last of your ‘baby weight’, then we recommend to wait until you have finished breastfeeding. If you are just wanting to eat better while breastfeeding, then the HKW is suitable. Just keep in mind if you are hungry then you should pick up your carbs.

If you are, or would like to be pregnant, I do not recommend the HKW. As discussed before, ketosis and no fat stores on the body can put a woman into a state of infertility – this was for her own survival when food and fat stores were low. I like to see more carbohydrates available for this demographic, especially under circumstances where there is no therapeutic reason for being in ketosis.
