Flu Fighting Juice

by | Nov 7, 2015 | 0 comments

There is a flu going around at the moment, involving a very phlegmy cough. Pineapple juice is more than perfect for this. Pineapple contains a great supply of sulphur and chlorine, which both aim to cleanse the respiratory system of mucous. Sulphur protects mucus accumulation in the respiratory and digestive system, while chlorine reduces congestion and bronchial problems. Pineapples also contain A and C, which will also aim to fight off any infections. Do your best to use a cold pressed juicer to retain all of the nutrients, as sulphur, chlorine and vitamin C are all heat sensitive. The remaining ingredients in this juice are incredible. They all have properties that will boost your health, make you feel revitalised and your skin glow.

Yields1 ServingDifficultyBeginner
200g carrot (about 2 carrots) - Peeled if not organic
70g kale (a large handful of kale leaves including stems)
100g beetroot (about a 1/4 of a beetroot) - Peeled if not organic
 1 blood orange
 250g pineapple
A large knob of ginger, or to taste. We like lots due to its great properties.
1

Prep the fruit and vegetables to a size that will fit into your juicer.

2

Starting with the ginger, juice all ingredients and finish off with a carrot (as it is dry and will ensure all juice comes out of the juicer).

3

Add Colloidal Minerals and stir to combine.

4

Serve in a Changing Habits Coconut Oil jar as it fits perfectly and can be taken on the run.

5

You can also make extra, store it in your fridge and allow your family to enjoy as they wish.

6

Try having this every day for a while, throwing in additional ingredients like lime, lemon, turmeric, celery and so on.
