This Turkish delight not only tastes like the real thing, but it contains lots of gut loving goodness from the gelatin and loads of nutrients from the pomegranate juice.
Prepare the dish or moulds you wish to make your gummies in. If you're using a dish, line it with baking paper.
Bloom the gelatin in the 1/2 cup water.
While the gelatin is blooming, in a medium saucepan, combine the pomegrante juice, 2 cups of water and honey ( or chosen sweetner) and simmer for 2-5 minutes on low heat until honey is dissolved
Add the gelatin mixture to the saucepan and stir until combined.
Remove the saucepan from heat and add the rosewater essence.
Pour mixture into moulds or dish and pop into the refrigerator until set (approx 2-3 hours)
Pop out of moulds or cut into squares
Optional-You can toss them through tapioca flour or organic icing sugar to give them the traditional turkish delight look or coat in chocolate for a real turkish delight treat. Yum!

As many readers will see this, just a bit of constructive feedback about spelling – you’re instead of your. It’s a small thing but speaks volumes ?
Thanks Lisa for the pick up. I have now amended it 🙂
My sister made these and found them very bland. She swapped a good quality blackcurrant cordial for the pomegranate juice, added tartaric acid and used more gelatine in order to get some fun shaped jellies for the grandkids.
I was excited to make these for Xmas gifts and id a trial run this morning. I think you really need to bloom the gelatine in at least a full cup of water. Mine clumped in only 1/2 cup of water. For a firmer turkish delight, I would recommend 4 tbs gelatine. Mine is jelly like. The flavour is there although, I would also add an additional tsp of rosewater and I also added some beetroot juice for colour and bonus nutrition.
Hi Jo, Great idea to use beetroot juice to colour them I might add this as an optional idea for the recipe 🙂 Yes the gelatin does bloom quite thick but thats ok your adding it heat and more liquid to melt down anyways but its preference of how you like to bloom your gelatin, you can add more water for sure but make certain you take the additional water off your other liquid levels or you will end up with more of a jelly consistency. With the provided amounts in the recipe our gummies were quite firm but still squishie but if you like your gummies firmer and want to keep them out of the fridge you can certainly add more gelatin. Thanks for your feedback.
Update after making these… 2nd batch trial. Turkish Delight Gummies Recipe adjustment…1 extra tbs gelatine, bloomed in 1 1/2 cups of water, 1 additional Tbs Rosewater and 1 tbs fresh beetroot juice (if not using fresh pomegranate juice).
Taste is great. Had no problems blooming gelatin as per recipe though did use a little more rosewater and pomegranate molasses in some water to make up the amount of juice as didnt have any! Only one thing I found was that almost as soon as I rolled in icing sugar/arrowroot mix it started to draw the water out and didn’t stay sugary/floury? I have packed it back in fridge in a fair amount and will see what happens….? Any ideas about this?
Hi Christie, yes we found that the sugar/arrowroot flour did dissolve after awhile but this would be because the jelly’s are moist. But if its for decoration purposes you could just sprinkle some on again just before serving.
Made these Turkish Delight Gummies (or the equivalent anyway out of the CH Classics Made Healthy Recipe Book). I found I needed slightly less gelatin to still get a great result. I’ve used pomegranate juice, strawberries crushed/juiced, raspberries the same manner, etc. All worked fine. I LOVE it. My only additions now are a little extra rose water, a couple of drops of Twenty8 Orange or Grapefruit Essential Oil and a little cardamon powder. When set and just before I eat one I sprinkle or roll it in mixed together cinnamon, cardamon and a little rapadura sugar ground to an icing sugar (or even just caster sugar fine) consistency. YUM, YUM, YUM. I am going to make to add to the Nutty Rocky Road recipe you have on here as I’ve just found that and want to try it too.
Sorry but what’s with the measurements?
Is that 2 cups of water?
Half cup juice?
Quarter cup honey?
Hi Narelle,
So sorry for the confusion. We’ve recently just changed our recipe platform over and some of the measurements didn’t transfer over properly. We’ve now fixed this recipe up so the measurements are correct. Enjoy 🙂
