Homemade Baked Beans

If your family love baked beans, why not try making your own healthy version that they will love as well!

 2 cups dry pinto beans, soaked in filtered water for 12 hours
 9 cups filtered water
 1/2 onion, finely chopped
 1 1/2 tsp powdered mustard
 1/2 cup molasses or Maple Syrup
 1 tsp sea salt
 1/2 cup tomato paste
 dash Tabasco sauce

Drain soaked beans. Place in a pot and add 8 cups filtered water.

Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Place drained beans and remaining ingredients on a large baking tray with enough filtered water to just cover.

Allow to cool, and then refrigerate.
