There are plenty of ways to spoil our mamas – from a classic afternoon tea to a spa day. There’s no right or wrong way to celebrate, but we’ve rounded up our favourite ways to incorporate a few little wellness touches in there to make Mother’s Day even more special.

Schedule a Digital Detox: Rally the troops to take a break from screens and digital devices for the old ‘disconnect to reconnect’. Spend quality time together without distractions so you can engage in meaningful conversations and live in the moment, let the only exception be for a group photo.

Go for a Nature Walk: Spend some quality time outdoors by going for a walk in nature.  Whether you’re a sandy toes or hiking boots family, immersing yourselves in nature can uplift the spirits, reduce stress, and boost overall well-being. Do this first thing in the morning and it sets the tone for a lovely, calm day.

Practice Gratitude Together:  Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude.  Whether you prefer a handmade card, a tasty cake with a message in icing or just simply said out loud – let that special mama in your life know how much you appreciate everything she does.

Gift a plant baby: Bring the beauty of nature indoors by your mama a potted plant. It’s no secret that having plants indoors is great for cleaning the air, encouraging relaxation by softening the spaces we live in and just adding an earthly, grounding energy to the home. Even just a simple succulent can boost the mood of a tucked-away corner.

Foster Creativity: Tap into your creative side by setting up a simple artistic activity like painting, drawing, baking, or writing. Creative expression can serve as a therapeutic outlet for stress, emotions, and self-discovery, fostering joy and fulfilment in the process. Plus you may even make something you want to keep as a memory!
