Bacon Wrapped Dates

A tasty little entree or snack idea for your next dinner party or gathering. There's definitely something moreish about this combination of flavours!

Ingredients
 80 g goats cheese
 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
 5 rashers of nitrate-free bacon
 1 tbsp maple syrup

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius.

In a bowl, mix the crushed walnuts into the goats cheese. Set aside.

Cut a slit along the edge of each date and stuff about a teaspoon of the goats cheese mixture into each one.

Cut each rasher of bacon into 4 pieces. Wrap each date in the bacon and secure with a tooth pick.

Place the dates on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with maple syrup and sprinkle with salt.

Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until the bacon is nice and crispy.
