Making your own homemade nut milks is so much more cost effective, sustainable and nourishing as it doesn't contain any dubious ingredients that can be harmful to your health.
Add all ingredients to a really high powdered blender (a thermomix works best) and blitz on high for 2-4 minutes until, smooth, creamy and completely lump free. You can start with 4 cups of water and gradually add more to get your desired consistency.
When you have your milk ready, pour into glass jars and place in the fridge.
Optional: Can you strain the milk into a nut milk bag or cheese cloth, then pour into glass jars and place in the fridge.
Use within 3-4 days, or freeze into ice-cub trays then place into a container or zip lock bag and grab out when needed. Add the frozen cubes to smoothies, iced-chai, chocolate or coffee.
Add the fresh nut milk to smoothies, make panna cotta’s, have with homemade muesli, add to baked goods like cakes, pancakes and slices or simply enjoy cold with some ice.
After straining the milk, don't throw away the pulp, utilise it in your raw real food goodies such as; bliss balls, slices, cheesecakes, smoothies and even add to cakes or pancakes.
