I meet a lot of people around Australia and the world who want to tell their story. But none has touched me so deeply as one recently. A beautiful woman told me a story about her loving family and contented son, who was happy in his life and doing wonderful things. He was prescribed some medication for a minor complaint – acne, the medication was one that could pass through the blood brain barrier and uncharacteristically he committed suicide.
Of course this does not always happen with this medication but I feel we need to be aware that there are side effects to medications that we should not take lightly. The most scary of medications are the psychotrophics which are used in the profession of psychiatry.
I watched an amazing video last week called “Dead Wrong’ and went on to watch everything on the following website. Some I knew but for the most part it was all new to me. I need to be informed in order to inform. If you are on antidepressants or your children are on any medications for ADD, ADHD or depression then please take the time to see the video and look through the information on the website. www.cchr.org
Once you have done this then read my report on Depression, read the chapter on Foods and Moods in my book Changing Habits Changing Lives, then make a decision to make a difference in what you are eating and doing in order to help your depression or anxiety. These two conditions are numbers 2 and 4 in health concerns in this country. There are other alternatives, the so called magic pill maybe quick but in the end can be deadly in many respects.
One Mother’s Story – Dead Wrong
The truth about psychiatric drugs is getting out. This film is the story of one mother’s quest to find out why her happy, outgoing son committed suicide shortly after being placed on psychiatric drugs. What she discovered was that suicidal and homicidal impulses are well-known side effects of these drugs.
She says: “Had we been told the truth about the dangerous effects of the psychiatric drug our son was given, he would be alive today.”
About the film:
From the makers of the award-winning documentaries Making a Killing and The Marketing of Madness comes this searing new documentary, exposing how devastating, and deadly, psychiatric drugs can be for children and families.
Behind the grim statistics of deaths, suicides, birth defects and serious adverse reactions is the human face of this global drugging epidemic revealing the personal stories of loss and courage of those who paid the real price.
Psychiatrists claim their drugs are safe for children. But once you hear what eight brave mothers, their families, health experts, drug counselors and doctors have to say about this, you will come away convinced of one thing…the Psychiatric industry could be DEAD WRONG.
