These gluten-free and refined sugar free chocolate iced donuts taste like the real deal! They will be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients

 1/2 cup coconut milk
 1 tsp vanilla essence
 2 eggs
 1/4 cup melted coconut oil or butter (save a little bit to grease the donut tray)
 1 cup blanched almond meal
 1/4 cup tapioca flour
 1 tsp baking powder
Chocolate icing
 4 tbsp coconut butter
 2 tbsp maple syrup

Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

Place the coconut milk, vanilla, coconut oil or butter, eggs and rapadura sugar into a bowl and whisk well.

Add the rest of the donut ingredients into the bowl and mix well.

Spoon the mixture into the donut tray.

Bake for approximately10 minutes or until cooked through. Remove to cool completely before adding the icing.

Chocolate icing

Combine the coconut butter, maple syrup and cacao chips in a pot on a low heat. Stir continuously until the ingredients have melted in together. Set aside to cool.

Once both the donuts and icing have cooled, spoon the icing onto the tops of the donuts and place in the fridge to set.
