Double Choc Ice Cream

Store-bought ice cream can often contain artificial flavourings, manufactured thickeners and sweeteners plus other added nasties, so why not swap it for this delicious real food recipe? It only contains four ingredients too!

Ingredients
 670 ml (22 oz) coconut milk
 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
 1/4 cup roughly chopped
Directions
Ice Cream Machine Method
1

Place all ingredients apart from the cacao buttons into a blender or Thermomix and blitz for 30-40 seconds.

Pour mixture into the ice cream machine and churn for 40 minutes or until the mixture is thick.

Add the cacao buttons and stir well.

Place in the freezer in an air tight container until the desired consistency is reached.

Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving.

Regular Method

Place all ingredients apart from the cacao buttons into a blender or Thermomix and blitz for 30-40 seconds.

Add the cacao buttons and stir well.

Place in the freezer in an air tight container, stirring the mixture well every 15 minutes until thick and creamy.

Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving.
