Mouth watering lemon leaf tea

This hot tonic can be brewed to simply enjoy, for colds and flu or just to keep your immune system strong.

Yields1 ServingDifficultyBeginner
 6 Lemon leaves (yes, straight from your lemon tree)
 1/2 lemon or lime zest
 1 chilli
 1/2 head garlic
 2 sprigs of thyme
 2 sprigs of rosemary
 1/2 stalk of lemon grass
 6 leaves of stevia (optional - I have this in my garden so I add it)
 1 L of boiled filtered water

Tear the lemon leaves to release the flavour and nutrients

Thinly slice the skin of the lemon or lime

Cut the chilli in half

Cut your garlic in half leave the skin on

Bruise the thyme, rosemary and lemon grass stalk

Add the ingredients to a 1 litre pot or tea pot

7

Pour the boiled water into the pot

8

Steep for 5 minutes

9

Serve hot or cold, drink day or night.
