This flourless chocolate cake is great as a base to add cream, berries or chocolate sauce. Double or even triple the ingredients to make a decadent layered chocolate cake with cream in between each layer. But also, perfectly delicious to eat as a snack just on its own!
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a cake tin with baking paper.
Heat a pot over a low heat. Add the butter and Cacao chips. Stir until the cacao chips have completely melted, set aside.
Whisk the egg whites until soft and fluffy.
Whisk the egg yolks in a bowl. Add the egg whites while continuing to whisk.
Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well.
Transfer mixture into the cake tin and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with cacao powder or your choice of topping.
