Vanilla Bean Paste

Home made Vanilla paste. Economical, tasty, healthy and so easy to make yourself!

 6 Vanilla Pods
 170gm (1 cup) Homemade Maleo
 A small pinch of Changing Habits Seaweed Salt

Place 1 cup of the maleo (rapadura sugar), salt and roughly chopped vanilla beans into your food processor or thermomix.

Puree the mixture until smooth, there will still be finer bits of vanilla beans, so for a smoother paste you can strain any pulp with a bowl underneath, and discard the pulp (please note- for a more richer flavour let this mixture sit for 2 weeks before straining).

Pour the vanilla paste into a beautiful sealed jar.
