Did you hear that iodine has been added to the bread we buy in Australia earlier this month?  It’s one of a growing list of minerals and vitamins that Food Standards Australia and New Zealand has deemed a necessary addition for our health.

You might remember folic acid is another that’s been added in the last couple of years.  But why do we need these additives? And do they really makes us any healthier?

Cyndi O’Meara is a nutritionist from Changing Habits, and I asked her why we need iodine in our diet.
