Slow Cooked Cardamom Spiced Beef

A wonderfully aromatic bowl of goodness - perfect for chilly nights.

Yields8 Servings
 2 kg Diced chuck steak, grass fed
 3 tbsp coconut oil
 2 cans tomatoes
 4 tsp Chinese five spice powder
 2 tsp Cardamom powder
 1 brown onion, diced

Add 1 tbsp coconut oil to a pan, and turn on the heat to medium.

Add the onion and spices to the pan, and stir until onions are translucent and the spices are fragrant, and transfer to your slow cooker.

Keeping the pan on the heat, brown the beef in 3 batches, transferring to the slow cooker as you go. You may want to add 1-2 Tbsps of coconut oil to this as you go.

Add all of the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker, and stir through to combine.

Turn onto low, and slow cook for a minimum of 6 hours, or until beef is tender.

Serve with rice, cauliflower rice, wilted silverbeet or spinach, or your chosen vegetable.
